Whenever I click LAUNCH in the Encoder, the progress bar starts moving but nothing ever shows up in the large blank box.

Hello..
Did you download the appropriate the mencoder binary and set correct path in the preferences?
By the way, if your source files are avi, please remember not to set the output path the same to the path of the source place.

I forgot to install mencoder. It works fine now. Thanks for the help!

Were you able to pay for the full kit and not just the evaluation? I'll donate something to help you out a bit if you still need something, I get paid Friday.

I noticed that the latest download was extended to the 20th but I am only hypothesizing that if you were to buy the full kit that these date limits would cease to exist correct?

Hello..Trevor...
It's so nice to hear that you would like to support PEnGUIn development.
Of course, I will keep going to extended the date limits before buying the full kit.
In fact, I am waiting for the official release by ActiveState.
Their Dev Kit is in Beta 3 now.

Please trust me that I will keep update the PEnGUIn development.
Thanks a lot!!

Well I suppose I should be thanking you more, considering you not only have created an excellent PMP conversion program, but to make it golden, you have made it for a Mac! Like I stated in the emails I don't think I can thank you enough for this program! I also love how it converts just about everything. The only thing it doesn't is Realmedia, but then again it's a rare media now a days, so I suppose it doesn't matter.

Well anyway thanks again!

Hello..Trevor...
Thank you. You are welcome.
:-)
By the way, if you want to encode rmvb to pmp, you can try the prebuild reallib I released before.
Though there is only limit support with it.

I went to download it and this is the message I keep getting after I clicked the link. I suppose you may need to re-upload it again. When you do I'll glady download it and try it out.

"Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home2/uploads/public_html/getfile.php on line 70

Hello..Trevor...
I'm sorry about that.
I have update a new link from MPlayer Project. (http://www.mplayerhq.hu)
I also made a direct download link "Essential Codes for Mencoder" in the links column on right side.
And please keep in mind that the Real Media support is not complete.
Thanks a lot!!

Three different problems, using mpeg video:

1. For one wmv video, the encoder is encoding both files fine, but errors when muxing it.
Status: [only stereo / joint stereo is supported]
2. For an avi video, the encoder doesn't overwrite the avi file with the one it generates. It continues to make the mp3 file and mux the mp3 and the original avi file, making the pmp a very large file size.
3. The separate muxer doesn't generate any file.

Hello..
Concern about three problems:
1. As mencoder, it's not support all kinds of videos in wmv format.
There might be some errors happened when encoding wmv videos.
2. About avi, would you use the latest version of PEnGUIn(Encoder)? In the newer version, there was a mechanism to prevent export files in the folder the same to the source avi files. In theory, it can't be happened the situation you mentioned.
3. Whether muxer works or not, there should be a log file. Did you use the mencoder I provided on the blog. PMP_Muxer only accept video files encoded by the modified version of x264.

Maybe you can tell me whats your settings in the PEnGUIn(Encoder).
By the way, I will release a newer version in these days, when a newer beta or commercial version of Perl Dev Compiler being released.

If there is any problem, just let me know.

Forgot one thing, I will also check the source code of PEnGUIn(Encoder) again and to make sure preventing mechanism of avi overwrite work.
